Witness Preparation

Witness Preparation for Trial

With the participation of counsel, we will help orient the witness to his critical role in educating and persuading a jury or judge, while acquainting the witness with the most important ways to convey his testimony at trial.

The preparation session involves not only the "do’s and don’ts" of testimony, but also coordinated work (with witness and counsel) to develop a questioning outline and to determine the best, most truthful answer the facts allow on each critical issue. Cross-examination practice equips the witness with strategies for handling opposing counsel's approach. Videotaping is typically used to provide the witness with visual feedback on both content and communication style.
